I really love this time of year. The smell of autumn air, the taste of Starb Pumpkin Lattes, and even the amazing shopping deals starting to pop up out of the wood work. If you’re trying to save money this holiday season like I am, I can tell you that it can be easy to budget your frugal Christmas this year by taking advantage of some cheap deals.
One frugal way to save some money is to hold out to buy Christmas labels until you find a deal. This time of year, you should be able to find labels for free! Luckily, we have such a deal right now. Vistaprint is offering free customizable mailing labels and all you pay is shipping and handling. The catch though is that they are only available to purchase until midnight tonight – so make sure to grab these. I’m not sure at this time if this deal will be back, but Vistaprint always offers the best deals.
Become Creative with Your Gifts
If your are trying to stretch a dollar as far as you can, here are some ideas for some personalized frugal gifts anyone would love:
Ink Garden is offering new customers a deal right now until 10/24 where you can create your own customizable Trick or Treat bag for only $1! Just use promo code TREAT at checkout. What does this have to do with Christmas? Well, you can personally customize it with your own design using your photos, and even use the clip art available to look how you want. So it does not have to be used for just Halloween! You can then give this bag as a gift. What I like to do is personalize the bag with personal photos, and I then put in any other gifts in the bag like homemade crafts, candles, and more. Sometimes I will make it Christmas themed, but I like to create it so it can be used year round. This is great for shopping too!
If you know you’ll be shopping for any little girls sizes 2-8 (and soon larger sizes), FabKids is offering a deal where you can receive your first 3-piece outfit for only $25 and you can snag a FREE shirt at checkout! Just use promo code FIRST25 at checkout. FabKids is a monthly service where you can choose 3 outfits a month that will be shipped to you for $39.95. Their prices are up to 60% off the retail prices, and they offer some really cute outfits to choose from. What I really like about this service is that you do not have to be a parent to join to take advantage of this service, and you can skip months where you don’t have to purchase anything. There is no obligation to buy anything if you don’t want to.
When you sign up for a free account, you create a style profile for your child on what styles they prefer. And then, every month you’ll get to pick the three outfits your child will like. Too easy! I personally love this service because I think the pricing is reasonable – three whole outfits for only $39.95 plus free shipping? What I am planning on doing is buying three little girls their outfits this way this year. They even send you e-mails with discount codes, surveys to earn savings credit, and more so you bet I will be stacking my savings this way. They are also offering a promo where if you refer two friends to join, you receive an outfit for free!
Total = $25 (first month) Total saved =$14.95 + Free shirt! So, three outfits I can use for Christmas and a free shirt!
York photo is offering some amazing deals you can take advantage of as well. You can choose between savings $1 for 4×6 Custom Softcover Book + 40 free labels (use promo code 146), $3 Custom 16×20 Designer Poster + 40 Prints (use promo code YORK16), or even York Photo 60 Free Prints (use promo code 60PRINTS). What I like is that you can use the prints and come up with some great ideas on what to use with them. You can purchase a family frame and put them in, or create something else with them. For ideas, I often use Pinterest. Shipping starts as low as $1.99, so you can definitely take advantage of some of these freebies and save!
Total = Starting as low as $2.99 with S&H. Total saved = Varies
These are only a few of my tips when I go shopping, so I am hoping these help you out in some way. I like to start my Christmas shopping early, and that’s why some of these deals end this month. My favorite deals, of course, are the free labels and the FabKids deal.
