Laundry Soap
Powder
1 bar of soap (Ivory is the cheapest. I have tried all brands and found no difference.)
1 c. Borax
1 c. Baking Soda
*Grate the soap. I use a cheese grater. Mix soap, borax, and baking soda in air tight container. Use 1 TEASPOON per load!
Liquid
1 bar of soap
1c. borax

13 gallon bucket (I bought a 13 gallon garbage can from the dollar store)

*Bring 4-6 c. of water to boil, grate soap or chop in small pieces. Once water boils, add soap. Stir until dissolved. Fill bucket with borax, baking soda and HOT water. Add soap mixture and stir! Let set over night before using. It may thincken slightly depending on brand of soap. Use 1 c. per load! Do not be alarmed if you do not see bubbles. (It’s not the bubbles that clean your clothes, it’s what in it!)IF you want to use a 5 gallon bucket, soap will be thicker. Use 1/2 c per load.

Household Cleaners
Everyday Cleaner
Fill a spray bottle with 1/3 white vinegar.
Then fill with water.
Kitchen/Bathroom Cleaner
Fill a spray bottle with 1/3 bleach.
Then fill with water.
Dishwasher Detergent
In air tight container mix equal amounts of borax and baking soda (ex. 1c of each, or 3c. of each)
Use 1 TEASPOON per load.
***For kitchen grease stains/smell add splash of lemon juice to washer
****For Moldy/Musky smellls add splash of white vinager to washer
Fabric Softener
Fill a spray bottle 1/3 way with any hair conditioner (I use the cheapest)
Then fill with water.
Then fill with water.
Use wash cloth or any piece of fabric, spray with conditioner and water solution and toss in dryer!
(You can also add conditioner to laundry soap.)
