Saving and Planning for Your Spring Break Vacation – Destination Chicago

Go Chicago Card

January is almost over and the weather is starting to warm up slightly in some areas. On Friday, we had a winter storm blow through North Carolina and today it’s 75 degrees out! As I was driving home today, the weather reminded me that I needed to take some time to sit down to plan out our Spring Break vacation! We’ve considered several options –going back to Texas to visit family, maybe heading up to New York, or even Disney World in Florida. However, we’ve never been to Chicago and I want to explore a new area with my family.

After doing some research on Chicago, I found that I could save money if I purchase Go Chicago card coupon codes where you can save up to 55% off gate prices. You pay only one price for unlimited admission to more than two dozen attractions, PLUS get discounts on food and souvenirs. You can also skip the ticket line at many top attractions. This pass includes several attractions that my entire family will enjoy including:

  • Adler Planetarium
  • Shedd Aquarium (includes Skip-the-Line admission and souvenir photo!)
  • Museum of Science and Industry (includes Skip-the-Line admission!)
  • Kohl’s Children’s Museum
  • Museum of Contemporary Art
  • Field Museum
  • Art Institute of Chicago
  • Two-day Hop-On Hop-off Trolley Pass
  • Skyline Cruise
  • Architectural walking tours
  • Hancock Observatory
  • SkyDeck Chicago (formerly the Sears Tower)
  • Navy Pier

…Plus, more!

I know that my girls will love the Adler Planetarium, Kohl’s Children’s Museum, and the Shedd Aquarium! We would also try to make plans to visit the Lincoln Park Zoo and LegoLand Discovery Center! This will be a learning experience for the whole family and a Spring Break vacation that we’ll never forget!

Do you live near Chicago or have you taken a vacation to Chicago? Maybe you can help me finish planning by commenting on more great things to see or do!
