    2011 we paid off over $8500 of debt and we paid cash for our storage barn. 2012 we like to pay off all our credit cards and our van and pay cash for a truck for my husband.

    My 2012 money saving goal is to be far more money-conscious when shopping. I have a tendency to buy without comparing prices, when it comes to purchasing at the grocery store. Since I buy most fresh, there is not a lot of opportunities for couponing, but I am making more conscious efforts to do much better! I have already noticed that a little comparing makes a huge difference and want to do more!

    I plan to take my lunch a lot more often, between spending $5-$8 4-5 days per week adds up fast, plus I would eat a lot healthier if I packed my own.

    One of my financial goals this year is to never allow myself to get into the negative in my bank account where I am paying fees to my bank and to open a savings accounts for emergencies. Its been a really rough couple of months- I am a stay at home mom and my husband recently loss his job. Having no income meant writing checks for neccessities like diapers and milk even though there was no money in the bank. Thankfully we are able to cash out his 401K and get outselves out of this mess. If we learned anything from all this, it is to keep a savings account with emergency funds.

    I was dx with Rheumatoid Arthritis in June, 2011. This disease is interfering with my job. I foresee me having to quit working full time. The disease and the RX is very expensive. My family needs to pay off some debt so if I have to stop working we are financially able. This book would help me. I would love to get things paid off as soon as possible.     This year 2012 I am planning ahead and buying clothes for seasons ahead on sale. Rather than waiting until the price is high. I also plan on making more gifts rather than spending so much for less personal items.

    save enough to finish the house that we gutted & cant afford to move into!

    save enough to have laser eye surgery before my stigmatism gets too bad to have it.

    I would love to cut our grocery bill in half. Having food allergy issues, we can’t always do it by the standard coupons in the newspaper,, although glutenfree offers are getting more common than they were 5 yrs ago!

    I set out a change sorter on the edge of the kitchen counter where we will all see it. We are saving for an orchestra field trip that my daughter and I will be attending for spending money or to cover expenses not met by fundraisers.

    We want to save $10-$20 per paycheck and use it next Christmas to buy gift cards during the awesome buy $x gift card, get $x amount free sales. We’ll then use those gift cards to pay to eat out the next year.

    My heartfelt desire this year is to learn to budget properly and learn to meal plan regularly. We have been dairy farmers for so many years and you learn to spend by feed, bills,and debt. Now I can with a set amount and I have the time work on saving money,but not sure where to start.

And go through my house including my childs room and CLEAN it and what isnt being used, played with or needed then I will list on our local facebook hometoen yardsale page to earn a little extra money and clean and organize at the same time.
